We will not only manage the safety risks to our staff, but we shall also ensure the safety risks to our client’s staff, residents, visitors, and contractors are minimised to the lowest achievable level.

HS&E plan is championed by NBC Managing Director Matt Smith and led by the department heads all of which have undertaken and passed the IOSH Safety for Executives exam and completed their own safety commitments to help the business achieve a positive health and safety culture where everyone goes home safe to their families.

All team leaders and contract managers have completed IOSH Managing Safely.

Health and Safety Management Systems

We work with an outside consultant, 'Business Safe', who provides consultancy advice as well as a web based portal. This allows us to host files such as policies and the accident book, and ensures tasks such as reviews and periodic checks are assigned and maintained.

The NBC Staff Health & Safety manual contains documents standards and guidance for the various health and safety policies, programmes and procedures established by NBC; and delivered to staff during their comprehensive induction programme.  

Its purpose is to assist in the identification and control of workplace hazards and thereby promote a safe and healthy environment for employees, clients and all third parties. The programmes and procedures documented here have been developed specifically by NBC in accordance with the applicable legislation and good safety practice.
