Bird droppings cleared to allow for roof repairs

Our client, a project management firm were awarded work at the Trafford Centre in Manchester to repair all leaks and repairs to the roof above Debenhams and Marks and Spencer’s. Their task was to repair the membrane to reduce and prevent leaks when it rains.  The issue they faced was the roof and the areas they needed to attend to complete the repair work was covered in pigeon guano.

Our Solution

NBC and the North team attended site and due to the sheer size of the area in question a petrol pressure washer was needed to help and assist with the cleaning of pigeon guano. All areas including air conditioning units, door ways, stairs and of course the roof membrane was cleaned. Any obvious holes or gaps were avoided for obvious reasons and these areas were done with a smaller sprayer and brush making it safe and clean for the roofers to fix and repair all areas that required attention.
