Craig Bickerstaffe
Contracts Manager - LIverpool
My name is Craig Bickerstaffe and I am the Contracts Manager for the Liverpool and surrounding areas. I have worked for NBC for nearly 9 years and have I enjoyed every minute. I started off as a trainee falconer working on a landfill, learning to fly a bird of prey to deter gulls which was very enjoyable.
I have many clients throughout Liverpool and surrounding areas who I provide bird and pest solutions for including various football stadiums such as Liverpool and Everton FC. Over the years we have helped out football stadiums with their pest issues and we were honoured when we won the contract to assist with the build of the new Everton Football ground in Liverpool. On site there is an abandoned listed building which needed restoring and pigeons have used this over the years as there nesting ground. Our task was to clear and clean the area and prevent birds from getting back in. We have done previous proofing works for this customer before and was more than happy to help.
I have both large and small customers in the Liverpool area such as Edge Hill University Savills who also suffer from ongoing issues in relation to gulls and feral pigeons. To help deter these we use a falconer who flies freely a Bird of Prey to deter them from site to prevent any issues with students on campus or customers at shopping centres such as Liverpool Lime street. We provide the solutions to protect the health and safety of our clients and their varied businesses.
Many businesses in Liverpool have regular issues and requirements for the control for pests such as rats and mice, our rapid response teams always react with priority and efficiency in a very professional manner to address the problems being experienced in order to protect our clients and their business from the risks posed by pests.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 3 sons aged 17, 12 and 7 who all play football. I am a level 2 football coach and I have the great honour of being the main football coach for all my 3 sons football teams which as you can imagine is both enjoyable and exciting at the same time. I am a huge Manchester United fan and a proud season ticket holder.
