Having worked in senior roles in both retail and hospitality management for 30 years I have an acute understanding of what makes for good customer care and successful profit and loss management but I am also aware of the risks of poor health and safety practices can have on a business and can help you avoid these pitfalls..
I switched careers as I wanted to try something different where my skills and interest in wildlife crossed over. I have now worked for NBC for 3 years and been supported with ongoing in depth training in the industry including safety management systems, animal licencing and best practice. This learning has been supported with a very experienced operations team who have been responsible for a variety of innovative solutions which have been adopted across our industry.
I have really enjoyed working with customers and the team to provide solutions in a variety of environments. An example of this was myself and NBC were the first falconry business in the UK to provide a bird deterrent strategy using falconry and other deterrent methods offshore in the UK, and at a time where most of the country was still in lockdown for COVID-19 but essential services had to continue. This project allowed a licence to be granted whilst reducing the impact of the decommissioning a gas platform on UK Marine birds.
If you think I can help your business in any way, or, you know of a particular challenge who would benefit from a team who can think out the box and find solutions please get in touch.
